Growing up I have always loved to collect and try new recipes, that still stands true today. So when I was given the opportunity to review a product from Peter Pauper Press I jumped at the opportunity to try out the What’s Cooking, My Recipe Organizer by Virginia Reynolds. This is a wonderful organizer that was well thought out. It has a weights and measurements table to help with conversions. There is also a temperature equivalents and roasting chart. In addition to that you will also find a section that is Tips & Tricks which contain storage and freezer tips, to use the microwave, compatible herbs and spices and even a wine pairing section.
The layout for your recipes is great, you have 8 different sections, Appetizers, soups & Salads, Vegetables & Side Dishes, Main Courses, Breads & Muffins, Desserts, Miscellaneous and Take Out Menus. Each section has “Recipe” pages that you are able to put where you got the recipe from, servings, ingredients, instructions and even comments. In addition to that each section has a plastic folder and plastic pages for you to store recipes in.
Since this book is a three ring binder you are able to add pages too. I am excited to start working on filling up this recipe book with recipes that I have from my great grandma, grandma and mom. This is going to be a fun and easy way to keep them all together. This would also make a GREAT gift for anyone for college students, newly weds and more. The book on Peter Pauper Press website is $29.95. For more information about this product and others check out their website, facebook and twitter.
